“Cursed World”

Once you step inside,
There’s no going out.
The atmosphere gives you fright
And makes you want to shout.

It’s only one way.
When you’re there, you’d fret,
“I wish I could run away.
This choice I really regret.”

This world is like a Pandora’s Box,
Because no one can save your soul.
The path ahead is full of rocks.
Feels like you no longer have a pulse.

It’s such a sad predicament,
Because you’ve done nothing wrong.
The state that is current
Is to just sing a little song.

“Today’s been a ton of trouble.
What’s in store for me tomorrow?
Is it the same thing but doubled?
Because I can’t take anymore sorrow…”

Scars of freshman remain in my head that day, though it doesn’t affect me anymore.
