#60 The Last Straw

“The Last Straw”

This is the last time I plan to see you,
For you’ve made my life sorrowed and bruised.
It never helps me in any way;
I care about the outcome of my days.

For my desolate life’s past few years,
I failed in conquering my fears.
Never got better than long before,
‘Cause I’m stuck with you to be bored.

We’ve become even as time passes
While sometimes trying to break glasses.
Desp’rate times call for drastic measures;
Slowly fading are those grand treasures.

You are never even productive;
You’re simply sneaky and deceptive.
Behind the scenes, all that you care
Is that you’ll slide, and I’ll be fair.

Just had enough of your plastic face
That always had that negative trace.
Go away, so my life I can control;
This is the end, the very last straw.

#16 A Wish for Perservance

“A Wish for Perseverance”

The days of sophomore are beginning to wrap up.
Has two-three improved or jerked to a full stop?
Don’t tell me you guys have surrendered…
C’mon! Move! Rise up like an early bird!

No one wants to be left behind, right?
So don’t give up–get on with it and fight!
Radicals and sigmas may be hunting you down,
But that doesn’t mean you lose and frown!

It’s just a few days more–we can all endure!
By grinding today, tomorrow you’ll be sure!
Just a little more, and we’ll all be free
From this, and we can be happy and glee!

So behave now. Is that such a hard task?
Arrange the chairs, clean up, and make it fast!
Those electronics of yours, turn it off
Before they get mad and stop being soft.

Easy now, don’t give me that glare.
You’ll have your own time soon to be fair.
Control yourself from becoming a wild bear
Or else you’ll make everyone stare.

Sophomore classroom situation again. This time, it’s about the end of the school year.

Radicals and sigma notations were the lessons during the time of writing. The final exams are nearing too, hence the first line. Even if my classmates are failing, they seem to be nonchalant and act the same as the past three grading periods. This is the last of the three-poem series on my wishes.
